This project, commissioned by Welsh National Opera, is a filmed adaptation of David Pountney's 5-star production of La Voix Humaine. It was filmed during lockdown and deals with the themes of isolation and loneliness. It is a 40 minute, single scene opera, that we filmed in soprano Claire Booth's bedroom with live piano accompaniment by Christopher Glynn. It successfully delivers the 'liveness' of a stage performance and combines that with the intimacy of a filmed performance.
